Recent Works Update – 2025

Restorative Justice – What Have They Done for the Parish?

The Introduction and use of Restorative Justice (probation service) to Brancaster in 2025 has been a great success the Parish Council provide fulfilling and meaningful work that enables a difference to be made to the community of Brancaster. The labour is free and the council are only responsible for the cost of materials used.

  • Playing field/footpath Brancaster  – Cut and cleared.
  • Cutting of hedges to Brancaster playing field and clearance.
  • Tree clearance at Brancaster Staithe.
  • Cleaning and painting of main Bus stop Brancaster.
  • St. Marys Brancaster churchyard, clearing of gravel paths, Ivy and brambles and gravestones. Work ongoing.
  • Preparation of wrought iron railings/gates into churchyard, with wire brushes, followed by painting with black Hammerite.  Not yet started and weather dependant.

Parish Council

  • The Christmas lights have been added to and Christmas trees planted at Brancaster and Staithe.
  • Salt Grit Box installed at the top of London Street.
  • Signs on both Telephone boxes in Staithe and Brancaster:  Wording says. BOOK EXCHANGE.
  • New Village Map installed to the main Brancaster bus stop.

Future works

  • Remedial and improvement work Village Green Brancaster Staithe.
  • Car park works Brancaster Village Hall.
  • Maintenance to railings Beach Road Brancaster.
  • Maintenance and painting of railings cemetery.
